I heard a really interesting talk about the Diploma in Engineering the other day. Did you know that approximately 6,500 students are currently studying the Diploma in Engineering and about 63% are at Higher Level? It sounds as if students and their parents are checking out the Diploma at Higher level where it is worth 7 GCSEs at A*-C and if they have a good experience perhaps it will boost the numbers going on to do the Advanced level. Is this people's experience in the other Diploma subjects?

14-19 IAG resources are like London buses - you wait for a long while and then they all come at once! TDA have put some brilliant careers resources on the CPD area of their website. Have a look now and it will save you lots of time preparing presentations later in the term with all those open evenings and parents' meetings coming up. You'll find it great too for your curriculum planning and staff training events. The link is http://www.tda.gov.uk/teachers/iag/ceg.aspx
