Online discussions on the Extended Project qualification and A level reforms

Live discussions will take place with awarding organisations and experienced practitioners throughout March, hosted by the General Qualifications Support Programme. The discussions will cover a range of themes to do with the Extended Project qualification and the reforms to A level. Anyone can join in.

Discussions include:

  • Dr John Taylor, Chief Examiner, Edexcel Project Qualifications on designing programmes for the Extended Project qualification taught component: the perspectives model
    14:45-15:30, 17 March
  • Ray Henshaw, Lead Practitioner on developing autonomous learners ready for higher education
    15:30-16:15, 19 March
  • Paul Bowers Isaacson, who was principal moderator for AQA-City & Guilds trial, pilot and development of Extended Project qualification, on developing and delivering the AQA Extended Project qualification
    16:00-16:45, 25 March.

The General Qualifications Support Programme is designed to help all schools with sixth forms, sixth form colleges and further education colleges to implement an innovative and integrated curriculum offer through the revised A levels and the use of the Extended Project qualification. Face-to-face and online resources are available.
