Inside Work

Applied learning – the practical application of theory in a work-related environment – is a cornerstone of the Diploma. You may already have experience of applied learning, but what has changed with the Diploma?

Inside Work is a suite of video-rich case studies and interactive activities that will help you discover how other practitioners have worked with employers, so you can develop a more creative approach to employer engagement.

Inside Work also features interactive work placements to help you develop your specialised knowledge of the workplace.

Engaging employers

Greater demand for applied learning opportunities may mean you have to be creative in your approach to employer engagement.

In this section you will be able to:

  • find out how other practitioners have worked with employers
  • engage with activities to help develop your own ideas
  • add your views on a topic, and comment on others
  • upload your own resources to share
  • explore relevant links to other material.

Practitioner placements

Delivering a Diploma may require more specialised knowledge of the workplace.

In this section you will be able to:

  • engage with interactive work placements and find out more about work roles, processes and procedures for your line of learning.

Inside Work will be launched in January 2009.
