Regional line of learning networks

Line of learning networks have been set up to enable consortia – particularly line leads, managers and practitioners – to share skills, knowledge and understanding on the important themes of the Diploma:

  • personalised learning
  • assessment
  • generic learning skills
  • information, advice and guidance
  • working collaboratively
  • reflective practice.

Line of learning networks allow you to tap into the experience of other practitioners as they share best practice in the delivery of specific lines of learning in their region. There is a line of learning network for each line within each region, so one of them will be right for you.

Line of learning networks will:

  • develop resources and approaches to improve teaching and learning
  • share processes, procedures and good practice
  • help to integrate learning across the principal, additional/specialist and generic components
  • meet the CPD needs of practitioners at all levels
  • generate development activities that build on Phase 1.

All networks are led by a network leader who manages network activities with help from our consultants.

In the coming weeks we will be able tell you who the network leaders are, what network activity is planned and how you can join a network. There may be meetings, workshops or seminars you can participate in.

Each line of learning network will be supported by an online forum. To find out more about what’s happening online, visit the Regional line of learning network communities page.

Final outcomes of individual networks will be available online at the end of June 2009.
