Vocational/applied learning training

Training and consultancy is available on a wide range of generic topics around applied and vocational qualifications and Phase 1 Diplomas. The offer supports all applied and vocationally related qualifications and can be delivered in the context of a particular subject area. The training is available to all schools, colleges and Phase 1 consortia.

There are 18 topics available, which can be customised in consultation with your school, college or consortium to cover your exact requirements. The topics cover areas such as:

  • planning and delivery of additional and specialist learning in Diplomas
  • teaching and learning methods and pedagogical approaches that support the delivery of applied GCSEs, Phase 1 Diplomas, NVQs, and VRQs
  • generic aspects of planning and delivering qualifications
  • promoting active learning methods that integrate theoretical learning, practical application, appropriate pedagogical approaches and generic skills.
